Colds are worse than Cancer....

I've had the worst fucking cold for the past 2 days and I'm FINALLY starting to feel better. Which is good, because me and my husband love to spend time together on weekends because we don't work, and I wouldn't want to get him sick as well. Besides that, were going to a concert on sunday, so I definitle wanted to be better by then.

 Phew :P

My freind ricky decided to shave his beard today lol, and this is the first time I've ever seen him without it....as you can tell I am a bit be-wildered haha :P

A Halloween story....

Something in the woods....a Short story by Megan Flores.



It Was October 31st, 11:20 P:M...... Halloween night.

All the little trick or treaters had made there rounds and were all snuggled up in there house injecting themselves with sugary sweets and chocolate covered

delights....

Meanwhile, down at the local city forest-park, a beautiful young couple walks slowly, holding hands on the sidewalk, under the moonlight. The Women was a slender, Red-head with enchanting eyes and lucious lips. The Male was a tall, scruffy, but ruggedly handsome gentleman. As the night grew darker, and Midnight approached, the care-free couple decides to find a bench to sit on in the park. They find a bench, and sit there snuggled up in there thick jackets, and look up at the star's. The Women say's "Tonight has been absolutley incredible babe, everything has been perfect!" as she leans in and gives him a deep, passionate kiss on the lips. The man say's "Well I'm just glad I'm with you, regardless if tonight was good or bad".They lean and start passionately French-kissing, embracing eachother's warm bodies on this cold Halloween night.

In the midst of the romantic snogging between the lovely couple, in the distance...In the shadow's...Something was lurking. Behind the trees and behind the bushes, something was watching them. The couple is still kissing when they hear a loud tree branch snap in the distance, this startles the women and she say's "What the hell was that?". The Man replies "It's probably just some animal walking around, just forget about it. She complies and hey go right back to the kissing. Meanwhile, whatever this thing was that was watching the young couple...was moving closer, it's breathing was becoming heavier, and the air around them was getting colder. The Women proclaims "Baby, It's getting cold out here, maybe we should just go home?". The Man replies "Home? oh come on, it is beautiful out here! Don't tell me your afraid. "Oh of course not! I just think it's getting late, that's all".  The Man replies "Ugh...Ok ok, we can go home"

They go to grab there bags when all of a sudden they hear a Blood-curdling yell coming from behind the trees. The women grab's hold of the man and scream's "What the fuck is that!?" The man replies "Um, oh I'm sure it was just a dog-" then he get's cutt off by another, but this time LOUDER yell that sounded a lot closer then the previous one.

"Who's there!?" the man demands, "Show yourself!". All of a sudden they see a very dark shadowy figure start to emerge from the tree branches, the women is quivering in fear as the man holds her tight. The dark figure start's to come closer, it's still too dark to make out what it is exactly. The man places the women behind him in order to protect her, and yell's in a commanding voice "You stay back! I'm warning you!". 

All of a sudden, the figure walk's under the street light and it's true form is revealed.....

A Fat, drunk, homeless man emerges under the street-light and say's in a loud and slurring voice "Hey Kids! You want some "Home-made" Chocolate!?!?!"

OMG!!!!

I had an AWESOME day at the river! I went with sam and my cousin rick, as you can see in the pic...I didn't do bad with a fishing pole hehe ;)

Had a great day with my Sam, my brother and some freinds!

Today was a wild day lol, hung out with a lot of my bro's freinds and thing's got a little bit crazy :P

Okay, my opinion on today's music.

So a freind of mine were talking on the phone recently about music in general. We discussed what bands we liked, what band's we didn't like. But then the topic of "Today's" pop music came up and the conversation become very split as far as opinion's are concerned. She absolutely HATES..and I mean HATES any and all of today's music, with no exceptions. I happen to be a little bit neutral on today's music, in more way's then one....


Allow me to explain....


When you talk from a "Lyrical" standpoint, a majority of today's popular music doesn't have much going for it. When a song like "I kissed a girl" by Katy perry is in the top 10 on the charts, then you know my claim to be true. Truth is, a lot of today's pop starts lack the passion and the talent of the stars from the 50's, 60's and 70's. Most of the lyrics are very generic, and sound like something you can write in your sleep. Again, look at a song like "Baby" from Justin beiber, that's probably the most repetitive string of lyrics I have EVER heard, and it's one of the most popular song's in the entire world :P


Another thing I am very critical about in today's pop music scene, is the extreme over-use of "Auto-tune" or "Pitch-correction". For the most part it whas Cher that made auto-tune popular back in the 90's, with the song "Believe". The difference between that song and today's auto-tune, is that everyone already knew that Cher was incredible singer, so the auto-tune was just a fun little bonus she added to the song. But in today's music scene, almost ALL of the popular artists, use Auto-tune in every single song. Which gives most people the idea that they aren't very good natural singers, and need to have there voice "Altered" to sound good.


But of course, I don't dislike ALL of today's popular music. Take an artist like "Adele" for example. She has REAL talent, she has an incredible singing voice, she's a great songwriter, and doesn't ever need to use "Autotune". There are other artists just as talented as her in the music scene right now, but they don't nearly as much recognition or financial success that artist's like Katy perry, Justin beiber and Lady gaga get, and that really bother's me :/
